NIU GEN-SHENG, HONORARY CHAIRMAN OF BOARD OF DIRECTORS

• Mr. Niu is a well-known entrepreneur and philanthropist in the PRC.

• Mr. Niu is Chairman of the Board of China Mengniu Dairy Company Limited, a company listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange with a market capitalisation of approx. US$4.4 billion as at end of September 2009. Mengniu Dairy continues to be the bestseller of liquid milk and ice-cream in China dairy industry by sales volume in 2008.

• Prior to establishing Mengniu, Mr Niu worked in Inner Mongolia Yili Industrial Group Co., Ltd. as deputy Chief Executive in charge of production & operations and as an executive director on the board of directors.

• In 1999, Mr. Niu established Mengniu. Under his leadership and the company’s strong corporate culture, Mengniu Dairy has continuous strong revenue and profit growth and was listed on the main board of the HKSE in June 2004. Mengniu is an early example of a successful working relationship between a private PRC company with private equity investors.

• Mr Niu had won the following awards:

• "China’s New Business Leaders" (2003)

• "CCTV People of the Year in China’s Economy" (2003)

• "Outstanding Performers in China’s Dairy Industry" (2003)

• "China’s Most Influential Business Leaders" (2003, 2004, 2005, 2006,2007)

• In 2005, Mr. Niu donated 51% of his share of dividends from his holding in Mengniu Dairy to the Laoniu Fund to provide incentives and rewards to individuals and organizations in the PRC that have made significant contributions to the Mengniu Group. Mr. Niu is gradually increasing his contribution to the Fund and Laoniu Fund is now a non-profit charity fund registered in accordance with Chinese rules and regulations.
